Sailor Moon

Bunny (Usagi) is a normal, ditzy high school girl until one day she becomes the superhero, Sailor Moon! She fights for love and justice in a really short skirt. Along with her best friends (and fellow Sailor Scouts) and the handsome Tuxedo Mask she will defeat any evil enemies that come her way! All the while Bunny will learn of true love and the meaning of friendship.

Sailor Moon is one of the most popular shoujo manga. It is a well-known title by any fan of manga or anime. Sailor Moon was the first anime I ever saw when I was a little girl. It holds a special place in my heart (and manga collection). Powerful young women kicking butt, while looking cute, who wouldn't like it? The characters are all so darn pretty! ^^ Each book is just full of romance, which I enjoyed. I'm going to be using the English names of the characters because I've grown accustomed

to doing so.

Sailor Moon was created by Naoko Takeuchi. The series is several seasons long, all of which have been published in English by TokyoPop. An anime has been made of this series, which was also very successful and aired in America/Canada.

There is some violence (good verses evil, ect.) and some slightly mature themes (most having to do with romance). I would rate it 10+.

Characters

Sailor Moon (Bunny)- The klutzy, lazy, immature crybaby that was chosen to protect the world from evil forces. Bunny may be all of those things, but she is also a loyal, caring, devoted and brave person. Saving the world isn't Bunny's only problem. She also has a complicated love life. Tuxedo Mask, the cute guy that keeps rescuing her has captured Bunny's heart. But who is this masked man and how is he related to Bunny? To mix things up a little more it turns out Bunny was Princess Serenity of the Moon in a former life.

Sailor Mercury (Amy)- A smart, quiet and shy girl. Amy is very nice and close friends with Bunny. She is also Sailor Mercury. Amy always fights loyally along side Bunny and her other teammates. She is very responsible and mature (especially compared to Bunny). Amy enjoys reading, studying and wants to become a doctor. She likes to swim and uses ice/water attacks.

Sailor Mars (Raye)- A beautiful and bold girl. Even though Raye is constantly fighting with Bunny they are actually good friends. She spends a lot of time at the temple and uses fire attacks.

Sailor Venus (Mina)- The super-cute heroine from Naoko Takeuchi's previous manga. Mina was the first Sailor Scout (since she became one in the previous series), but the last to actually join the team.

Sailor Jupiter (Lita)- Lita is very strong and a great cook. She has some issues with her past boyfriends... -_-; While all of the Scouts (discluding Amy) are constantly after cute guys Lita is probably the worst.

Tuxedo Mask (Darien)- Darien is always teasing Bunny, but he's actually a really nice guy. He's secretly Tuxedo Mask, the handsome superhero who is always rescuing the Sailor Scouts. As Tuxedo Mask and Sailor Moon become closer they find out each other's identities and a relationship ensues. Darien also has a past life, in which he was deeply in love with Princess Serenity.

Sailor Chibi Moon (Rini)- Very cute and sometimes annoying, Rini can be a little spoiled. Still, she is very brave and possesses many admirable qualities. Rini is from the future. She is pretty similar to her mother (from the past), even though they fight quite a bit.

Luna, Artemis and Diana- Luna is Bunny's cat and was with her in their former life on the moon. She provides support for Bunny and often helps the Sailor Scouts defeat their foe. Artemis is Mina's cat and falls in love with Luna. The innocent Diana is Rini's cat, who she brought back with her from the future. Guess who Diana's parents are.
