Cardcaptor Sakura
Cardcaptor Sakura is a cute, sugary tale of 10-year-old Sakura
Kinomoto. One day Sakura stumbles upon a magical book filled with
powerful forces. She accidentally sets the forces free, along with a
magical beast named Keroberos. Sakura must capture these forces
before something horrible befalls the world.
This isn't just any old manga, oh no, it's the cutest darn thing
you'll ever read. The big-eyed characters are all full of innocence
and love. Of course the art is gorgeous, CLAMP, created it after all.
There are little adventures in every book, all complete with adorable
costumes. The love triangles in this series are somehow different
then ones from in other series. Since the characters are so young, it
seems sweeter and fresh. Love is the first for them.
Cardcaptor Sakura was created by CLAMP (a manga group made up of four
women.) It is currently being published in English by TokyoPop. The
manga volumes are divided into two seasons. The Clow season and the
Mistress of the Cards season. There are 12 volumes all together.
There has also been an anime and two movies made of this series. It
has become an extremely popular series in Japan, America and other
parts of the world.
Cardcaptor Sakura should be okay for all ages. Though, there are some
relationships with large age differences. (i.e. teacher and
10-year-old student.) |
